| From May 6-8, 2025, Stanpol Sp. z o.o. had the honor of participating in the international fish processing trade fair, Seafood Expo Global, held in Barcelona. This event is one of the most important meetings of the global fishing industry, bringing together producers, processors, distributors, and specialists from the fishing and fish processing sectors. During the trade fair, our company presented, in addition to a wide range of fish products, the environmental initiatives undertaken by a consortium of fish processors consisting of Stanpol Sp. z o.o. (project leader), Port Fish Sp. z o.o., and Marko Sp. z o.o. OUT OF CONCERN FOR THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND THANKS TO CO-FINANCING UNDER THE „Fisheries and Sea” OPERATIONAL PROGRAM, the operation entitled „Construction of demonstration PV installations producing electricity for the own use of fish processing plants” was completed, with photovoltaic installations being constructed at the beneficiaries’ fish processing plants, mitigating the negative environmental impact on operations within Measure 1.13 Innovations referred to in Article 26 and Article Article 44, paragraph 3 of Regulation No. 508/2014, under Priority 1: Promoting environmentally sustainable, resource-efficient, innovative, competitive, and knowledge-based fisheries, included in the „Fisheries and the Sea” Operational Programme. Participating in the Seafood Expo Global 2025 trade fair provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the effects of implemented innovations, present research results on cold storage of electricity produced from own PV installations, which is pioneering and cost-free compared to expensive battery energy storage systems, and exchange experiences with partners from around the world. The new pro-ecological initiatives we promote are the result of consistent efforts to promote the sustainable development of the fishing sector and adapt production to changing environmental and legal realities. We would like to thank all the guests, including Mr. Jacek Czerniak, Secretary of State, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ms. Monika Krzepkowska, Chargé d’affaires a.i. The Republic of Poland in Spain, Ms. Ilona Kałdońska – Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Barcelona, Ms. Małgorzata Pawliszak – President of the PSPR, and Mr. Wojciech Łopatkiewicz – Head of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) in Madrid, visited our stand in Barcelona. We are convinced that participating in this prestigious event will contribute to the further development of our company and strengthen the position of Stanpol Sp. z o.o. on the international market. |
